Summer

High Antioxidant Fruit Tea Recipe

Premium juices such as pomegranate and blueberry are great, but can be pricey.  Mixing premium juices at 10-20% in tea is a great way to extend value, maintain health benefits and tastes just as refreshing.

The best tea to use for high antioxidant would be white tea and/or honey bush tea.  Honey bush is very close to Roobois and much higher in antioxidants than green tea.  Serve on ice with fresh fruit.  We now carry Fruit Tea's which are just fabulous, offering great portability and convenience.

Green Tea Ice Cream Recipe

Green Tea ice cream is so cool.  If you already make your own ice cream, just add in green tea powder, at 4 tablespoons per half gallon, (1/4 kilo) when using an ice cream maker.  Skip the sugar and add a touch of Stevia (to taste.)  Click here for green tea powder, known as Matcha.

Cheater's Method

Buy 1/2 gallon (1/4 k) vanilla ice cream of choice.  Allow to thaw enough to mix in 4 tablespoons of green tea powder thoroughly and refreeze.  Serve with toasted almonds, and/or almond cookies.

Green Tea White Chocolate Truffles

We simply melt white chocolate and add in 1/3 part green tea powder.  Scoop with a melon baller and roll in more dried green tea powder for a beautiful coat.  Refrigerate to set.

Winter

Harry's Famous Hot Chai Recipe

This is just as delicious served on ice or hot.  When we think of "Chai" we think of a Christmas type drink and Four "C's."  Cardamom, Cinnamon, Coriander and Clove.  The complimentary notes are nutmeg, honey and vanilla.  For the best Chai, we find Himalayan Black Tea to have the most depth and richness.  The truth is, you can substitute most any tea.  Chai is 1/2 your tea formula and 1/2 milk.  You can serve this hot or on ice.  Because of this, we make the tea formula ahead of time as a type of concentrate.  Doing that, it can be ready for entertaining in a snap.  We put our Chai spices in a pepper mill to garnish a cup of Chai,  grinding them fresh as well as a compliment to other meals.    High in Cardamom and Nutmeg, this even comes in handy at night to warm a cup of milk and help sleep.  We recommend our Fortune Cookie, a rich Himalayan Black Tea  blend for fantastic Chai making.

Culpepper's Winter Tea Recipe

This is a like a good mulled and spiced wine.  Like Chai, it can be served hot or cold.

Basically a tapestry of White Tea, Rooibos and/or Honey Bush, 10% pomegranate juice, cinnamon, nutmeg to taste.  Serve with Cinnamon sticks and/or crystallized ginger.  Because we prefer performance based herbals, we typically try to make them a focal point.  For this we would recommend our Rooibos Love Story.
